Rabbi Funnye Meets Prime Minister Netanyahu Rabbi Funnye, Spiritual Leader of Beth Shalom B'nai Zaken E.H. Congregation in Chicago, has been an excellent ambassador for the Israelite Community. We are proud of him because he travels the country and the world bearing the light of Torah with dignity, intelligence, and with great love. During his recent trip to Israel, Rabbi Funnye met with Benjamin Netanyahu. In this conversation (and subsequent meetings with Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Michael Orin) Rabbi Funnye stressed to the Israeli Prime Minister the importance of building stronger bridges between the State of Israel and Black Jewish communities in Africa and America.
