1. SHUVAH

The word "shuvah" means "return." This song speaks of the regathering of the entire House of Israel. It is sung as the Torah is returned to the ark. The origin of the melody is probably Sefardic. It was popularized in the Israelite community by Rabbi Poinsett.

Following the reading of the Torah, the scrolls are raised in the air for the congregation to see. This song is sung at that time.

This song was written by Cohen Lewi Ben Yisrael, founder of Hashabah Yisrael. It expresses our desire for peace and the need for togetherness.

4. WHAT'S MY NAME?

This song was written by Cohen Lewi Ben Yisrael, founder of Hashabah Yisrael.  It describes the experience of Israelites who are scattered all over the world and searching for their true identity; i.e. their true name.

5. Hallelujah

This song, which is sung in Hebrew here by Rabbi Baruch Yehudah, is Psalm 150.  The melody is unique to the Israelite community.
