Professor Rudolph Windsor has agreed to teach courses on various aspects of Israelite History from Congregation Or Ami in Atlanta, Georgia. The Israelite Board of Rabbis held its annual convention in Atlanta last summer, which coincided with the official dedication of our newest congregation. Rabbi Shalem Yeshurun, a graduate of the Israelite Academy and spiritual leader of this growing congregation, said “we have enthusiastic members who wish to deepen their knowledge of our history, language, and culture.” Prof Windsor has enjoyed a close relationship with the Israelite Board of Rabbis dating back to the 1960s when he was a young colleague of Chief Rabbi Levi Ben Levy. Through the miracle of online technology, he can now teach students in their homes.
Prof Windsor earned degrees from Grazt College in Hebrew / Aramaic Studies and from Temple University, where he majored in Middle Eastern Studies. His most famous books are: Babylon to Timbukto, The Valley of the Dry Bones, Judea Trembles Under Rome, and the fact-based novel, Deborah and Barak.
